Our Aim
We aim to:
Improve the health status of Māori living in the Rangitāne o Tamaki nui a Rua area.
Acknowledge that well-being for Māori is by and includes the four cornerstones of health; Taha Wairua, Taha Tinana, Taha Hinengaro and Taha Whānau
Tamariki Ora - Well Child Service
Description
The developmental assessment of children aged 0 - 5years old is the focus of this service and includes health education for parents, babies and toddlers with a priority for families who may be at risk of childhood illnesses and developmental difficulties. Home and/or Clinic visits.

Whānau Ora
Description
Whānau of all ages are able to access this service and our staff are able to assist in the areas of diabetes, respiratory disease including asthma, cardiovascular disease and cancer. Mental health, sexual health, rangatahi and tamariki health, nutrition, mobility, injury prevention, health promotion and education are also components of this service.

He Mate Huango - Asthma Education
Description
This involves the education and support of whānau with managing asthma and works in collaboration with Tamariki Ora, Whānau Ora and GP services.
Education and support includes:
the use of Asthma Management Plans
Medications
Correct use of an Inhaler
Symptoms
Triggers
Support for Individuals and families
Facilitation for support groups

He Mate Pukupuku - Cancer Support
Description
Support and advocacy for whānau experiencing cancer is the purpose of this service and works in collaboration with the other three positions established at Te Rūnanga O Raukawa, Best Care Whakapai Hauora and Te Wakahuia Manawatū Trust and existing general cancer services and health promotion.

Oranga Kai, Oranga Pūmau
Description
Healthy Eating, Healthy
Action (HEHA) is a population approach to addressing nutrition and physical
activity issues within whanau and will build a network as a means of meeting
the objectives. This health promotion initiative will begin to address
childhood obesity within our community.
